How artist payouts work
Earnings are tracked in your dashboard. After verification you connect Stripe and withdraw to a Stripe account in your name.
Earnings from paid requests and ticketed flows are tracked in your dashboard. Payout details and any fees are shown before you publish or go live.
- Get verified. Payouts stay locked until our team approves you.
- Open Payouts and connect Stripe. Stripe collects your identity and bank details on its own page; DJHOLIC never sees your bank account.
- Withdraw your available balance when it is above the minimum withdrawal shown in the app.
- Earnings accrue when a request is played. Unplayed, declined, cancelled or refunded requests earn nothing, and a refund can reduce earnings that have not been paid out.
- On an event where the platform books you, the song portion of a request is split 70% to you and 30% to the platform. Tips go 100% to the artist. The split for each event is shown on the event.
- The split for an event is fixed when the event first leaves draft, so a later change by us only affects events created afterwards.
- There is no scheduled payout: you request a payout when you want one, once your balance is above the minimum payout amount shown on your payout screen. Recent earnings are held for a short time after an event before they can be withdrawn.
- Payouts go through Stripe Connect Express to a bank account in your name in a supported country (Australia at launch). Timing also depends on verification and our providers.
- You are responsible for your own tax on what you earn, including income tax and GST. If you are registered for GST in Australia you may need to charge GST on your share. The platform fee we keep includes GST. We can change the split for new events.
