Get paid: Stripe Connect and requesting a payout

Connect Stripe, then request a settlement from your Revenue page. There is no scheduled payout: our team sends it to your Stripe account.

  1. In Settings choose your country of residence under Billing and tax details. It is used for Stripe payouts and cannot be changed on the Stripe account afterwards.
  2. Open Revenue and, in Payouts, choose Connect Stripe. Stripe collects your identity and bank details on its own page; DJHOLIC never sees your bank account.
  3. Come back when Stripe says Payouts are enabled. If it says Finish setting up Stripe or Stripe is reviewing your account, follow the button to update what it still needs.
  4. When the Available to settle card shows an amount at or above the minimum settlement, choose Request settlement and confirm.
  5. Our team then sends the money to your Stripe account. The Payouts table shows each request and its status.
  • Requesting a settlement locks your whole available balance for payout and cannot be undone. It does not move any money by itself.
  • Nothing is paid automatically. Money moves when DJHOLIC staff send it, and only once your Stripe account can receive payouts.
  • Earnings are held for a short time after the event has finished before they can be settled.
  • Statuses: Requested, awaiting staff dispatch · Pending · Queued · Sending · Paid · Failed (with the reason) · Reversed · Being reconciled by staff.
  • A settlement that includes refunded or disputed passes stays waiting while staff look at it.
  • Amounts are in Australian dollars unless the screen shows otherwise.
  • The Revenue page shows your accrued earnings, gross collected, platform fee, artist share, refunds and net accrued, by event and as a list of transactions. These are accruals until paid out.
  • Hosts are not paid for hosting. A host earns from pass sales for events they create (after payment processing fees), and from the song-request revenue share on host-organised events, for example a private party where you pay the DJ yourself.
  • On a host-organised event the platform keeps 30% of the song portion of each request and you receive the remaining 70%. On an event where the platform books the DJ, the split is 30% platform and 70% artist, with 0% to the host. The split is shown per event, is fixed when the event first leaves draft, and we can change it for new events.
  • Payouts go through Stripe Connect Express to a bank account in your name (Australia at launch).
  • You are responsible for your own tax on what you earn, including income tax and GST. If you are registered for GST in Australia you may need to charge GST on your share. The platform fee we keep includes GST.
