Cancel an event and what happens to guests' money
Give a reason. Guests are told, paid passes are refunded automatically, and held song-request payments are released.
- Open the event and choose Cancel event (available for draft, published and live events).
- Check the impact summary: how many paid passes will be refunded and for how much, how many free passes will be voided, and how many already-used passes will not be refunded automatically.
- Write the reason for cancelling (at least 5 characters). It is sent to attendees and kept on the event.
- Confirm with Yes, cancel event.
- Paid passes that were not scanned are refunded to the original payment method. Free passes are voided.
- Song requests that were not played are released or refunded. Played requests are not refunded.
- Passes already used at the door are not refunded automatically.
- Attendees get an email, a push notification and an in-app notification with your reason.
- Booked artist bookings are cancelled and the artist is told.
- If a refund cannot be completed automatically it is flagged for DJHOLIC staff to resolve. The summary tells you when that happens.
You cannot refund a single pass or request yourself. If a guest has a problem with one, use the Report issue tab on your event, open a ticket from Support, or contact us. Repeated or abusive cancellations may be restricted. Guests' side of this is explained in Refunds for event passes.
